Today’s recipe is ‘Aloo Ka Bharta’. It is a very easy recipe of Indian mashed potatoes, which are prepared by cooking few spices and vegetables with boiled potatoes. Aloo bharta can be served along with hot chapati/parathas as a side dish. It can be enjoyed during lunch or dinner.

This dish can be prepared using fresh green peas or frozen peas. As this is not the season of green peas, I am using frozen ones, which my mother stored by blanching during green pea’s season.

If you have heavy breakfast in the morning, paratha sabzi type, then do try this one also. You can also pack this bhurji in your kid’s lunch box. Serve this egg bhurji along with paratha/chapati as a side dish.
Today’s recipe is ‘Falooda’. It is a cold beverage which can be served as a dessert also. It is perfect for summer season as it is full of very soothing ingredients. Falooda is made my ice cream (optional), milk flavoured with rose syrup, vermicelli noodles, sabja seeds (basil seeds), jelly pieces and dry fruits. There are many versions of falooda available all over the world, some uses kulfi or fruits chunks instead of ice cream scoop. Other name for this delicious summery dessert are faluda, faloodah.

It is full of ingredients which are known for their cooling properties. As this year Ramzan is also in summer season, you can also have it during iftar.
