Todays’ recipe is ‘Spicy Vegetable Oats’. Who doesn’t want to get healthy with delicious food?? Here is one recipe for all those who love to eat healthily and stay fit. Oats and veggies make a healthy combo to give your day a healthy boost. This dish is perfect for breakfast or snack.
For Spicy Vegetable Oats, you will need – oats, veggies of your choice, red and green chilli sauce, a dash of oil and red chilli flakes. For my recipe, I have used finely chopped cabbage, capsicum, tomato, green peas, green chillies, and carrot. You can try this same recipe with any veggies of your choice. If you love chicken, use shredded boneless chicken.

Ingredients for Spicy Vegetable Oats
|Water||2 cups or as required|
|Capasicum (chopped)||1.5 tbsps|
|Cabbage (chopped)||2 tbsps|
|Carrot (finely chopped)||1 (small)|
|Potato (finely sliced)||1 (small)|
|Green chillies (chopped)||2 (medium) or as per taste|
|Tomato (chopped)||1 (small)|
|Red chilli sauce||2 tsps|
|Green chilli sauce||1 tsp|
|Soya sauce (optional)||1 tsp or you can use salt as per taste|
|Red chilli flakes||1/2 tsp|
Method for Spicy Vegetable Oats
- In a deep pan, heat oil.
- Add chopped vegetables like carrots, cabbage, potato and capsicum. Stir-fry for few minutes.
- Next, add remaining vegetables green peas, green chillies and tomatoes. Stir-fry for 3-4 mins.
- Add all the sauces, red chilli flakes and salt or you can add soya sauce.
- Now, add oats and mix well.
- Lastly, add water to the pan. Cover for 2-3 mins and cook.
- Remove the lid and cook for a few seconds more. Do not dry oats completely.
- Serve hot!
