Today’s recipe is ‘Hare Pyaz ka Paratha’. It is an easy and delicious paratha recipe. Spring onion paratha can be served as green chutney/pickle/ ketchup. You can enjoy it during any meal of the day. Unlike parathas like paneer and aloo, this one is not a stuffed paratha.

Hare Pyaz ka Paratha, you will need –

spring onion greens, wheat flour, green chillies, ginger, garlic, and few easily available spices. I have used only spring onion green for this paratha, you can also finely chop white portions also.

Recipe Notes
  • Wash and chop spring onion greens.

  • In a mixing bowl, take wheat flour/atta, spring onion, green chili-ginger-garlic paste, salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, carom seeds, garam masala, chaat masala, and chopped coriander leaves.

  • Mix well. Knead a soft dough using water.

  • When a soft dough is ready, add 1 tbsp oil and knead again. Keep aside for 5-10 minutes, let the dough rest for a while.

  • Start preparing balls out of dough.

  • Take one ball at a time, start preparing paratha from the dough.

  • Heat a non-stick pan/tawa. Keep it on high flame.
  • Place paratha on the tawa.

  • When paratha is cooked partially from one side flip it on another side. At this stage spread oil/ghee/butter on the partially cooked side. Flip again and cook it fully this time.
  • Spread oil/ghee/butter on the other side too and let the paratha cook till dark brown small spots start appearing on it.
