Today’s recipe is ‘Gulab Sharbat’. The temperature started rising in my city very quickly from the past few days. Also, this is a good season for desi red roses also, we are getting a very good harvest of red roses. So, my mom decided to prepare red rose sharbat from home-grown red roses. Here is sharing her sharbat recipe with you all. It is an instant sharbat, so you can start enjoying it from the same day itself.
Gulab Sharbat Recipe requires –
Red rose/red rose petals, sugar, green cardamom/elaichi, citric acid, rose essence and edible red color (optional). You can store this sharbat in a glass bottle for three months. Citic acid serves many purposes, first it gives sharbat a tangy flavor, second, it clarifies sugar and lastly, it acts as a preservative.
