Today’s recipe is ‘Frittata‘. It is an Italian dish, which is egg based. It is like an omelette but with vegetables or meat or both. You can top it with cheese. It is a very healthy dish as it is a mix of protein, carbs and fat. Frittata can be enjoyed as a main course dish or breakfast. It is a wholesome egg dish in which eggs pour over stir-fried meat or vegetables.
For Frittata, you need –
eggs, vegetables of your choice (e.g. potato, onion, capsicums, etc.), oil, cheese, salt, and red chilli flakes. In this recipe, eggs are beaten vigorously to get that fluffy frittata. To prepare frittata, vegetables are first stir0fried and then the egg mixture is poured over the vegetables. You need sufficient oil to prepare this recipe, as you have to cook both eggs and vegetables.
Traditionally, the frittata is cooked partially on the skillet and then baked in the oven for 5-8 mins. In my recipe, I have not used an oven, instead of that cooked both the sides on low-medium flame.
