Egg Fried Rice | How to make egg fried rice

Today’s recipe is ‘Egg Fried Rice’.  Fried rice is a popular dish from Chinese cuisine. There are so many Indo-Chinese versions of fried rice these days. I am sharing with you all my version of fried rice today. It can be served as a main course dish for lunch and dinner along with other Chinese dishes. You can even pack this is as a lunch box recipe for your kids.

For Egg Fried Rice, you will need –

cooked rice, egg, capsicum, carrot, spring onion, chopped garlic, green chilli, soya sauce, red chilli sauce and green chilli sauce. It is a very easy recipe, which you can adjust according to your taste preference. Like, you can choose vegetables of your choice other than what I have used. Also, you skip egg to prepare simple fried rice or add boiled chicken to prepare chicken fried rice.

Method for Egg Fried Rice -

  • Wash an chop all the vegetables.
  • In a pan, heat 2 tsp oil.

  • Prepare bhurji of an egg.

  • Remove bhurji from the pan, keep it aside.

  • Heat oil in the pan, add the white portion of spring onion, fry it for few seconds.

  • Add chopped garlic and fry for few seconds, do not let the garlic turn brown.

  • Now add all the remaining vegetables and stir-fry on high flame for 2-3 mins.

  • Next, add cooked rice in the pan. Mix well.

  • Now is the turn to add all the sauces (red chilli, green chilli and soy sauce) and vinegar. Mix well.

  • Lastly, add spring onion greens, salt, crushed black peppercorn and egg in the pan. Mix well.

  • Serve hot!
