Hello foodies !! How all of you are doing? Today’s recipe is ‘Prawn Fry’. This recipe is a cross between tandoori prawn and fried prawns. I have used tandoori marination for this recipe. You do not need oven or tandoor to enjoy this dish. Prawn fry can be served as a starter or side dish. Shrimps of any size can be used for this recipe.

For this recipe, you need deveined prawns, hung curd, ginger-garlic paste and few spices. Marinate prawns for at least 1 hour. If you find prawn’s smell bothering, then use this recipe and enjoy shrimp. It is very easy and quick recipe.

Duration: 1 hour (marination) + 15 mins (cook time)

Ingredients for Prawn Fry

Prawn / Shrimp150 gms
Hung Curd1 cup
Red chili powder1 tsp
Coriander powder1 tsp
Salt1/2 tsp or as per taste
Chaat masala1/2 tsp (heaped)
Oilfor shallow frying
Ginger-garlic paste1.5 tsp

Method for Prawn fry :

  • Wash prawn and keep it aside.

  • In a mixing bowl, take hung curd, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, coriander powder, salt and chaat masala.

  • Mix well and marinate for at least 1 hour.

  • In a pan, heat oil for shallow frying.

  • Add prawns one by one and shallow fry till water dries.

  • Remove prawns on paper napkin.
  • Serve immediately with your favorite chutney and onion slices.

प्रॉन फ्राई (तंदूरी स्वाद में झींगे ) बनाने की विधि –

  • प्रॉन को अच्छे से धो के अलग रख लें।

  • एक मिक्सिंग बाउल में, दही, अदरक लहसुन पेस्ट, लाल मिर्च पाउडर, धनिया पाउडर, नमक और चाट मसाला लें।

  • अच्छे से मिला के, इस मिश्रण को फ्रिज में एक घंटे के लिए रख दें ।

  • एक पैन में तलने के लिए तेल गरम करें।

  • एक एक कर के प्रॉन तलें  अच्छे से पक जाएं, और सारा पानी सूख  जाये।

  • तले हुए झींगों को पेपर नैपकिन पे निकाल लें।
  • गरमा गरम झींगों को अपनी पसंद की चटनी और प्याज़ के साथ परोसें।
