Masala Urad Dal Recipe (Split Black Gram Lentil Recipe)

Ingredients for Masala Urad Dal

Urad Dal (Split black gram lentil)1 cup
Tomato1 (medium size)
Green chilli1-2
Curry leaves5-6
Ginger-garlic paste1 tsp
Red chilli powder1 tsp or as per taste
Coriander powder1 tsp
Turmeric powder1/2 tsp
Coriander leaves2 tbsp
Black pepper corn7-8
Cumin seeds (Jeera)1/2 tsp
Salt 1/2 tsp or as per taste
Oil2 tbsp
Water1 cup
Mustard seeds (Rai)1/2 tsp
Cloves (laung)2-3

Method for Masala Urad Dal

  • Wash dal (lentil) properly.

  • In a pressure cooker, heat oil. Add black peppercorn and curry leaves.

  • Add green chillies, ginger garlic paste and tomato. Cook for 2-3 minutes.

  • Now add all the dry masala in the cooker. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.

  • Then add dal in the cooker, mix everything nicely, add one cup water in the cooker. Close the lid and cook till 3 whistles.

  • Check whether dal is tender or not.

  • Garnish dal with chopped coriander leaves.

  • Serve dal with hot chapati or paratha.

मसाला उड़द की दाल के लिए विधि

  • सबसे पहले दाल को अच्छी तरह से धो लें।

  • एक प्रेशर कुकर में तेल गरम करें। कुकर में काली मिर्च और करी पत्ते डाले।

  • हरी मिर्च, अदरक लहसुन पेस्ट ,और टमाटर डाल कर २-३ मिनट के लिए पकाये।

  • अब सरे सूखे मसाले डाल के २-३ मिनट ओर पकाये।

  • दाल डालकर अच्छे से मिलाये, एक कप पानी डालकर, कुकर का ढक्कन बंद कर ३ सिटी तक पकाये।

  • ३ सिटी के बाद प्रेशर निकलने पर ढक्कन खोलें और देखें दाल पकि हे की नहीं।

  • दाल को धनिया की कटी पत्तियों से सजायें।

  • दाल को गरमा गरम रोटियो के साथ परोसे।
