Bhutte Ke Pakore | Corn Fritters | Bhutte ke pakore recipe

Today’s recipe is ‘Bhutte Ke Pakore’.  Bhutte ke pakore is also known as corn pakora or corn fritters. Monsoon is at its peak, and corns are easily available in the market. I love corn dishes, plain corn, bhutte ki sabzi and corn chaat etc. Make your tea-time more delicious this monsoon with bhutte ke pakore. Serve these fritters with chutney or ketchup of your choice.

For bhutte ke pakore, you will need corn kernels, gram flour (besan), coriander leaves and few spices. Chose corn which is not very sweet in taste. If you want, you can crush kernels or pulse it for 1-2 rounds. I love to add whole corn kernels instead of crushing them.

Ingredients for Bhutte Ke Pakore

Corn kernels/Bhutte ke daaneKernels from 1 medium corn cob or 1/2 cup
Besan/gram flour1.5 cups
Green chili (chopped)2-3 medium size
Coriander leaves (chopped)3 Tbsp
Red chili powder1/2 tsp or as per taste
Garam masala1/2 tsp or as per taste
Salt
Garlic powder1/2 tsp
Soda1/8 tsp
Roasted cumin powder1/2 tsp
Oilfor deep-frying

Method for Bhutte Ke Pakore

  • Peel and wash corn. Cut corn kernel from the cob.

  • In a mixing bowl, add besan and corn kernels.

  • Add all the spices.

  • Next, add chopped coriander leaves and chopped green chilies.

  • Mix everything well, add water to prepare a batter of fritter consistency.

  • Heat oil. Start preparing fritters of medium size on medium to high flame.

  • Remove on a tissue paper or an absorbent paper. Fry all the fritters in batches.

  • Serve hot with ketchup or chutney!
